Unix Backspace Problem
In default, you can’t perform back space in Unix where you will get ^? character when you tap on backspace button.
To fix this, just follow the instruction below: -
1) Login to your Unix box
2) Execute cd $HOME
3) Execute vi .profile
4) Add in the 2 lines below in the end of your .profile filesstty erase ^? set -o emacs
Relogin to your Unix box again and you shouldn’t have any problem or error on backspace again.
